Other options include making sure doors and windows are in good condition with working locks. Change your locks when you move in and get a camera for your doorbell. You should also make sure you have rental insurance or home insurance in place.
Technically, any property will be more secure if they have a burglar alarm. While any security system installed by a landlord will need to be maintained, offering a secure and safe property to your tenants is advantageous. If you’re a tenant and you want to install a burglar alarm at your rented flat, make sure you get permission from your landlord first.
