A Boundary engineer will attend your property to give your alarm an annual service. This service includes testing the alarm for faults.
Alarm receiving centre (ARC) controllers monitor your home 24/7. Your alarm will never be ignored.
If your Boundary alarm is triggered an alarm receiving centre (ARC) will be notified. The ARC will immediately verify whether your home is being burgled. If confirmed, a direct request is made for police response and the property owner and/or nominated keyholders are notified.
As part of the annual service the engineer will replace the batteries in all sensors and your outdoor siren. Very useful if you don’t have the time or tools to open the sensors or reach the outdoor siren, mounted on your wall outside.

What is a monitored alarm system?
Criminals will always try to catch you off guard and with Boundary’s monitored alarms, they’ll never get the chance. Monitored systems offer two levels of protection. A classic monitored alarm system provides you with an additional layer of protection, whether it’s from a security company or simply keyholder calling. Others give a fast police response to break-ins, keeping your home and loved ones safe.
Our standard monitored system uses an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). This ARC monitors your home 24/7. If an intruder triggers your sensors, your main hub will notify the ARC. They will investigate and call the police if needed. It’s as simple as that.
Monitoring isn’t available on all our plans. Compare home security plans to find out which you’ll need.

What are the benefits of a monitored alarm?
The biggest benefit to a monitored home alarm system is peace of mind. No matter where you are, you know your house is protected, your alarm will never be ignored and some will act, even if you’re on a plane or on holiday.
If you choose the Pro plan your home will be monitored 24/7. They will alert the keyholder or police if anything happens. This means fewer false alarms and can stop you from having to deal with the heartache and disruption of a burglary.

Monitored alarm FAQs
A classic monitored wireless alarm system is monitored by a security agency to deter burglars. If two or more sensors pick up movement on your contact or motion sensors it’s relayed to our 24/7 ARC. They will immediately investigate and contact the keyholder or police.A more powerful type of monitored alarm system is a police response alarm. These are systems that alert the police when 2 or more sensors are triggered.Boundary offers both of these systems as part of our monthly security plans.
A monitored alarm is like a personal alarm that contacts the police. When the alarm is triggered your Boundary hub immediately notifies Boundary’s ARC and they will start putting processes into action. Boundary will assess the entire house and call the police and notify keyholders.
Police response gives a quick response to any suspicious activity. In the event of a break in, ARC controllers will immediately respond. They provide 24/7 monitoring for suspicious activity and sensor activations. Police will be called to your property if needed, keeping you and your loved ones safe.
No – Boundary’s ARC does if needed. The Boundary ARC double-checks every motion sensor activation. This ensures the police aren’t called unnecessarily. If only one sensor has been triggered, it’s likely to be an accident. A Level 1 Police Response will be called if the movement pattern is suspicious.
All smart home technology needs regular maintenance. This reduces the chance of defects and ensures your home alarm monitoring system is working properly. We include annual maintenance in our Pro monthly monitoring contract, so you have nothing to worry about.
Choosing the right system for your home doesn’t need to be difficult. The number of sensors that you’ll need depends on the size of your home. If you have more than one entrance door, you may want additional sensors.
